About Göteborgs Bildverkstad

Göteborgs Bildverkstad is a creative platform for visual arts. We offer a technologically advanced workspace for various forms of image creation and production. Our members include artists, photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, comic artists, animators, designers, architects, book publishers, cultural producers, and galleries.

Göteborgs Bildverkstad is located at the Klippan Cultural Reserve. We have part-time staff at our workshop who support members in their productions.

The board is responsible for long-term planning, while the staff manages daily operations. The staff's focus is on members' needs, technical support, and courses. The staff is also responsible for association administration, ongoing finances, budgeting, grant applications, etc.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing introductions for members on how to use the workshop's equipment.
• Maintenance and servicing of workstations and equipment.
• Handling of technically advanced equipment.
• Planning of workshops and courses within image production to help members develop their knowledge and skills.
• Maintain good and clear communication with members by sharing easy-to-understand information both online and in personal conversations.
• Provide administrative support to the operations and the board.

Qualifications

We are looking for a service-oriented, proactive, and technically skilled person who can drive projects independently and efficiently. You can explain technology and functions simply to people with different backgrounds and needs. You are flexible, solution-focused, structured, and have good organizational skills. As part of a collaborative team, it is important that you have good teamwork skills and are open to new ideas.

Requirements

• Technical knowledge and skill in various print techniques, as well as broad knowledge in digital image management.
• Good knowledge and experience in handling digital photography equipment.
• Administrative experience.
• Good language skills in both Swedish and English, as well as the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.

Merits:

• Experience with Epson large-format printers, Hasselblad Flextight X1 film scanner, Mac workstations, and/or Epson flatbed scanners.
• Experience with, among other things, Canon EOS C70 and Canon EOS R5 system cameras.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, with particular emphasis on Photoshop.
• Experience working independently with administration in a small organization.
• Pedagogical experience and experience in support or similar roles.

Employment:

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment
• Scope: Part-time 50%
• Start date and period: September 1, 2026, or by agreement until August 31, 2027, with possible extension.
• Göteborgs Bildverkstad is covered by collective agreements.
